Build a school shopping list before choosing a deal

Start with the supplies or equipment your school actually requires. A larger bundle only saves money when you can use everything in it.

1. Check the required specification

   For electronics, match the required software, storage and accessories before comparing prices. For supplies, check the size, quantity and material on the school list.

2. Compare the cost per usable item

   Divide the delivered bundle price by the number of items you need. Include shipping and any minimum order. A lower unit price can still mean a higher total bill.

3. Check arrival and return dates

   Use the merchant’s delivery estimate for your address and compare it with the first day the item is needed. Check whether opened or personalized items can be returned.

Example: a pack of 10 items for $30 costs $3 per item. If you only need four, buying four at $5 each costs $20 overall. The larger pack has the lower unit price, but costs $10 more today.
